Motivation

Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness or lack of ambition.

Daily Affirmation:

"I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality; therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for thirty minutes daily, upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture."

Area of Improvement: Decision Making

Libras are known for their inability to make decisions. The scale represents a sense of balance, while also summoning a wavering, back-and-forth approach to almost everything.

Ketchup or Mustard? Oh, I don't know.. Ketchup is so sweet and delicious on hot dogs. But mustard is so tangy...

Black or brown boots? Hmm...well I'm wearing all black, so black boots would be chic and add to the  nyc/monochromatic edge. But brown boots would stand out, make the outfit look a little different.

I often resort to having the person closest to me decide.

Procrastination, indecision - both are absolutely detrimental to success. So I'm working on making WISE snap decisions.

"People who fail to accumulate money, without exception, have the habit of reaching decisions, if at all, very slowly, and of changing these decisions quickly and often."

Hill also recommends keeping close friends and relatives at bay when making crucial decisions. "Close friends and relatives, while not meaning to do so, often handicap one through "opinions" and sometimes through ridicule, which is meant to be humorous."

Thanks Mr. Hill

Daily Affirmation

I know I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite purpose in life; therefore, I demand of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action.

You Can Heal Your Life

by Louise L. Hay

25 Years Ago Today...

I was born... Which makes me officially due for a quarterlife crisis. Stay tuned...

I spent my special day with people who I care about, and who make me smile.

Napoleon Hill Changed My Life

The hardest part about being "young" is trying to get your dreams and goals sorted out. I recently started reading "Think and Grow Rich" after being nudged to read it for almost a year.

As studying for the GMAT becomes increasingly intimidating, I needed a way to chill out and get more grounded.

I can't yet say it's my favorite book, as I haven't finished it. What I can say is that after practicing the material for less than one week, I already feel more focus and grounded...And that's really all I was looking for.

To be continued....
